I thought I'd refer people to this site. However, the thread became about the color scheme and font use.

I wasn't fond of the color scheme. (I like the font, but I use it for a lot of game materials.) I thought it was just me. I think we might
want to go with something less, overstated, and something more subtle. What works in comic books in moderation doesn't work as well for a backlit website.

I figured it would likely have a negative reaction for some folks. I was trying to keep with the "4 Color" theme when choosing the hi-lights, and the Comic Sans font just seemed the right thing. I can definitely make some changes. Tell those guys to drop by and make some suggestions!

My god! I just checked the site on the desktop. I built the site on my laptop. I can't believe I went with those colors! They were so - garish!

I can tolerate the Comic Sans well enough, but these colours are definitely magnitudes of order better. Back in the 90s I ran a local BBS system named "Starbase 801", which did a fairly good approximation of a Star Trek style control panel in ASCII. Unfortunately, I also went with the colour scheme, which in those days was most closely simulated by the only yellow available to me. Despite warnings by my CoSysOp, I went ahead with that scheme. It wasn't popular.

So, you are not the first person on the interwebz to have their colour scheme go horribly wrong.

I think I stumbled upon that site some time ago, back when a friend of mine was running the old FASA Trek game. Can't remember much about it at this point in time though. Glad you approve of the current look. I will be dropping by the Citadel, thanks for the invite!

The less you can remember about it, the better off you will be.
